invisible_playwright
Developers use invisible_playwright as a drop-in Playwright replacement that runs a Firefox patched at the C++ level, and several thank its maintainer for quick, detailed fixes. GitHub issues since its May 2026 launch report detection by PerimeterX, Akamai and Fingerprint.com in some setups, launch failures on Windows and Linux, and a proxy bypass bug. A July 2026 move of the browser builds to another repository also broke pinned installs.

invisible_playwright is free (MIT) with no paid tier or profile limit; the patched Firefox it downloads is MPL-2.0, and its C++ patches are published in a separate repository. It is a Python library driven from code, and current engine releases cover Windows and Linux only.
